Exodus 23:25

"Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span."

This is a powerful verse. I love it so much. God's promises are powerful, and they are for here and now.  I have struggled to have a good relationship with food. Anxiety fills me in many dining situations. With having multiple foods that I am intolerant to; I have lost sight of the thankfulness of foods I can eat. 

After an unexpected hospital visit, resulting in surgery... I decided I better start thanking God each meal. Many times, I begin my meal and remember that I forgot to thank God. This is not a habit of mine. But as each day goes by, I keep thanking Him for each bit of liquid, each food, each protein, each and every meal.

I find this need even greater in this age, especially here in United States, where so much of our food supply is blended with chemicals, poisons, and harmful ingredients. It can drive a person bonkers trying to figure out and pay for all the healthy foods. 
Is God not bigger than all of that. He knows what we can afford with our budgets. He knows what we have access to and the ability to shop and pay for. I believe that if we try our best to get the healthiest foods we can and mix that with Gratitude and Prayer. God will cover the areas of our foods that are imperfect.
