4Slow Down. Make Something With Your Hands. 

Step away from the rush and sit awhile with wool, color and quiet conversation. In my rug hooking workshops, we gather in small groups to learn a traditional craft that's as comforting as it is creative. 

Whether you're brand new or just getting back to it, you'll learn the basics of hooking a simple design using natural wool strips, a backing cloth, and a hook. No machines, no pressure- just the rhythm of pulling loops and making something beautiful, one bit at a time.



What You'll Learn

In each workshop, you'll gain the skills to start and finish your own small, hooked piece, learning:

-How to use a rug hook and frame.

-The difference between wool strips, yarn and alternative materials.

-Techniques for color planning and texture.

-Finishing methods for display or practical use.

You'll leave with a beautiful handmade piece- and the confidence to keep hooking on your own.

These workshops are beginner-friendly and welcoming to all No experience necessary! If you enjoy slow crafts, working with your hands, or want to try something new in a relaxed, creative environment, this is for you.

Workshop Options

-Intro to Rug Hooking (4 hours): Perfect for beginners.

-Themed Mini Projects: Seasonal motifs, small mats, or decorative items.

-Custom Group Workshops: Host a creative gathering- great for birthdays, retreats or team-building. 

Location & Schedule

Workshops are held at my Art studio 316 Main Street Oley PA 19547, or in your location of choice. That includes private homes. Class sizes are no larger than 15 people to ensure individual attention.

Workshop Option 2: Woven Wall Hanging  🌟
(Size is about 8" x 25" with fringes)

Join me for a cozy and creative workshop where you'll design and weave your very own wall hanging. Using a simple frame loom, chunky yarns, and natural fibers, we'll play with texture, color and pattern to create a one-of-a-kind piece of fiber art. 

In this 3 hour class, you'll learn:

• How to set up and weave on a small frame loom
• Simple stitches and techniques for variety and texture
• Creative ways to mix yarns, colors, and fibers
• How to finish and hang your work on a natural branch or dowel

No prior weaving experience is necessary- this class is beginner friendly and designed to be fun and relaxing. At the end, you'll leave with a completed woven wall hanging, ready to display in your home or give as a handmade gift.

Weaving is a soothing, meditative process- a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and enjoy the beauty of creating something from simple materials.

POSSIBLE ADD ONS 🧶🧶

• Extra yarn bundle: ($10-15) A curated selection of leftover class yarns or special textures so you can make another wall hanging. 
• Upgrade to larger wall hanging: ($20-25) For a larger loom to make larger wall hanging. Class will be 3 hours in length. 
• Private lesson follow-up: ($30-40 for 1 hour) This is a discounted private session for anyone who wants to go deeper into weaving techniques after the class.
