Set the Right Images in Your Mind


You want to feel better? Make more money? Have the love and life you want? You need to set the images in your mind. Subconscious controls everything! EVERYTHING! The way you were programed, and are continuing to be programed controls your entire life. 

You want different results, you need to set different images in your mind, coupled with feeling. Feeling is the vehicle to drive those thoughts into the subconscious.

Maybe I should tell a story. I can use my own example to help you to realize how to apply these thoughts to your own life. I have wild ideas. I have crazy ideas. Ideas that are out of this world. My imagination is lit up. I credit this to voracious reading as a child. My father was school teacher, and a brilliant one at that. He was no ordinary man, and no ordinary teacher. He changed people. He changed lives, and he was a proficient and detailed man of the written word.

He collected hundreds and hundreds of books of various genres, especially science fiction and other fictional topics related to historical based truths. Books were my incubator of inspiration and teacher of imagination. I have had ideas and plans and thoughts that I feel must not be in an ordinary mind. I believe anything is possible. I believe in miracles. I believe in healings. I believe if we can think it, we can make it happen. 

It shocks me that people can call on the name of God and read the greatest spiritual book ever written, but understand or believe nothing about miracle or miraculous. Where did our imaginations go? Are we letting too many people tell us how to think and we do no thinking on our own. It amazes me and excites me that we can create- literally create any scenario if we think upon it, and meditate on it, mixed with emotion. 

The trouble is, that most of us meditate or think on fears. We mull fear around and around in our minds. We develop and invent scenarios of catastrophe, and calamity. We imagine the "worst." Why do our imaginative powers work so well for the dreaded things of life? Why is it so hard to imagine only the good? I am not sure why- but I do know the bible says this: Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things."

I think that the above is the most beautiful verses, and one of the most important biblical passages. How often does that phrase apply? How many times do we stop ourselves from love and good fortune? We are not victims of circumstance. Let me repeat that, we are not victims of circumstance! Although we have no control over our birth and the family of our upbringing, we have control now. You may tell me a long list of things you do not like or do not want in your life, and I say......

RECREATE IT! Start imagining what you want instead. Start allowing your mind to think about what you really want to do with you life. Start imagining friends that are really loving and supportive. Imagine older mentors that encourage and uplift. See yourself in the body and experiencing the health you desire. It all comes down to discipline. Neville Goddard said something like this- all that people lack is creative imagination and discipline to imagine. (I am paraphrasing).... but here are some other Neville Goddard quotes that are gold.


  • “Take your attention away from your problem and the multitude of reasons why you cannot achieve your ideal. Concentrate your attention entirely upon the thing desired.” – Neville Goddard
  • “All you can possibly need or desire is already yours. Call your desires into being by imagining and feeling your wish fulfilled.” – Neville Goddard
  • ​“Each person is born with an infinite power, against which no earthly force is of the slightest significance.” – Neville Goddard

Just meditate on that last quote. "Each person is born with infinite power.....against which no earthly force is of the slightest significance."  Can you believe this statement? If it is the first time reading it you may be very skeptical. In fact the world has been set up so that you DO NOT know this. We are in the 'pickle' we are in globally because people do not understand this. We have infinite power. 

You may look around you and say, "how can I have that power?" My circumstances do not preclude that statement. Maybe at this moment, but this moment is just a moment. It is a slice of time in the space time continuum. All that you ever wish or desire or want to be already exists. It already exists, it's just a matter of aligning with that vibration of what you want to be. 

How do we get there? We get there through our imaginative power. Can you day dream? If you can- you can imagine. Think of a world imagining a fair and free world. Imagine how God wants to use your life to be of benefit to the world. Then start following the signs. Things will begin to open up before you. A book will come into your possession, or a blog page, a video, a person, a circumstance. The Universe will start to bring to you what you imagine. (The same thing happens if you imagine bad circumstances. This is a scary thought!) 

SO USE YOUR IMAGINATIVE POWER FOR GOOD. Maybe I should define good, because some people think they are doing good, but are not. What you desire can not infringe upon the rights of other individuals. It is not good if you imagine helping others through stealing (taxing) another group. The end does not justify the means. You cannot infringe upon a person's natural rights. These our rights from God. The right to pursue happiness, the freedom of speech, the right to own property. All of these are examples of natural rights. 

Rights established by government, often go against natural rights and are subject to change by the persons in charge. God never changes. He is the I am- the rights He gives us a natural citizens are permanent and constant. So if your desires align with the natural rights God gives to His Creation- than by all means imagine a way to bring about some goodness in your life and the lives of others.

Are You Ready to Give up Your COFFEE??

I love the taste of coffee. I love it with milk and sugar. I love dark coffee from freshly ground Organic beans, and I LOVE the smell of coffee. Do I drink it? No- not really ever. I may have had maybe 50-100 cups ever in my life. I never was able to handle coffee well, and if you look at some of the things I am going to share, you may find that you are not able to either. 

​Coffee is a plant- (we drink the beans). The beans are seeds. The fruit contains caffeine as do the beans. The fruits contain 2 seeds typically. (The beans). The fruit is often called "coffee cherry," but this is no regular cherry or any type of cherry. Coffea grows as a large bush or small tree in the tropics. I believe God, the Universe, Spirit- whatever you want to call our Supreme Intelligence, CREATED all plants with a specific and definite purpose. Coffea arabica is one such plant. It is not evil. It is not bad. Coffee is not bad, but the application of it can be used in a "bad" way. 

I believe and would consider saying I KNOW that coffee is a sacred plant and sacred drink. It is meant to be used for specific reasons or limited reasons. Coffee is stimulating, it is invigorating, it is focusing and it has amazing properties. It can even save lives. It is a money making machine that circulates the earth, providing many millions of jobs. However, an herb, as a plant for medicinal or nutritional benefits- it is used with too much frequency. 

When you drink coffee on a regular basis, it is very drying to the body. It is acidic. It will deplete mineral reserves in the body as the body tries to balance the acidic condition by leaching minerals from bone calcium. UGGGHH! That sounds horrible and scary. It is actually pretty amazing that the body does this. If you have a lot of body aches, and creaks, you may be drinking too much coffee.

When you drink coffee daily, or multiple times a day, you put a lot of stress on the kidneys. These little organs like water and herbal tea the best. I should say, clean water, fresh water, and pure water. The kidneys can be delicate even though they process waste all day long. When you drink coffee, you will urinate more frequently because the coffee is an irritant and the body will want to excrete it quickly. This is irritating in general, plus you will find your body needing more water. 

The adrenal glands also become very tired from the up and down of the caffeine surge in the body, not to mention the disruption to sleep patterns that occurs when drinking coffee daily. (Now that I have sufficiently ruined your coffee desires).... now what?

I do not mean to dismiss the pleasure of a nice cup of coffee. However, there are drinks that are excellent and delicious that do not have the drawbacks of coffee. I love to drink DANDELION root and Burdock root in combination as a coffee substitute. To make a drink with these two delicious herbal roots, continue to follow along. Both roots are very nourishing to the body and help build up strength in the body. They also cleanse and get rid of toxins. They are designed for that purpose. It is important to know each plant is designed with specific purposes. 

Dandelion and Burdock Root Decoction (Buy your roots here: Mountain Rose Herbs) 
4 Tablespoons Dandelion roots
4 Tablespoons Burdock roots
6 cups of water
-Pot for simmering
-Sprinkling of cinnamon
Milk of choice and Honey for taste

I usually buy a pound of both of these roots. They are heavy. If you buy 4 ounces, you may be dismayed at how little you have received. I would highly suggest ordering a pound at a time, and I have the link for Mountain Rose Herbs one of my favorite places to buy high quality herbs.

In your simmering pot, add all your water and your roots. Turn the heat to a low-medium temperature. You want to get the pot to be slightly simmering, but not boiling. So depending on the type of stove you have, you may have to play with the heat a little. Keep your eye on your pot until you have a good temperature. Then just let the roots simmer for 12 minutes. The water will turn a nice brown shade. (Not as dark as coffee). If you want a really dark cup you will want to add 4 more cups of water and simmer for an hour and then let the herbs sit covered for a few more hours. Who wants to take that long to make your faux coffee drink. 😊

After 12 minutes, strain into coffee mugs and add your milk and honey. This is a delicious and preferable beverage to traditional coffee. If you actually give this a try- comment down below. What do you think?

Herbal Consultations- What is it?

I want to further share and explain what I am currently offering. I am offering a FREE first consultation, for health concerns that you want to try to address with herbs. The consultation will be 45 minutes. You can address a certain issue you want to tackle. Maybe it is PMS, Weight (up or down), Skin issues, Energy issues, etc. We will go through my intake form together, where I will talk to you about diet, lifestyle, and your emotions. Then I can give you my suggestions for herbs, and self-care. 

When I suggest herbs they are either my own formulas, Dr. Christopher formulas, or I sometimes use some Young Living supplements and essential oils. I am pretty picky about what people take. I have been working with supplements for 20 years, and tried hundreds, if not thousands of products and I know what works. I am willing to entertain or check what you have to see if it is a good fit for you, but I know that high quality herbs and supplements work, and if you aren't using great stuff, you won't see results. NOW you may be buying something that someone said is the "best" or some company calls the "best." It may be really expensive. That does not necessarily mean it is good. In fact I look for herbals that are not expensive, and mine and Dr. Christopher brands are very affordable, but still amazing.

In my early 20's I found myself experiencing recurring yeast infections. I also had a bout of Mono, and my tonsils removed. I had been on rounds and rounds of antibiotics, and my "conditions" were not improving. My doctor told me that some women just have yeast infections and have to deal with it. This was in no way a good or proper answer. I knew there had to be another way.

Succanat Sugar Scrub w/ Olive oil, Clay from the Earth Mask & Witch Hazel w/ Rose for Beautiful Skin

I recently made a series of videos on how to take care of your skin naturally. I am no skin care expert by any means, but I have learned a lot about skin being an herbalist. Mainly because I suffered with eczema for years and years, and had really sensitive skin that broke out with so many products. I literally had to go without regular products and learn how to take care of my skin naturally and with homemade remedies to really help my skin heal

Now that I have gone through that whole process, I know so much is tied to the health of our inner bodies. Our liver is key to great skin. The liver is the great detoxing organ, and hold our emotions. So there is a physical component with what we eat and an emotional component, with what we think that determines what our skin will look like.

Changing my diet to a more plant based diet, removing processed foods, and caffeine and alcohol, was only the beginning. There are so many herbs that cleanse and nourish the liver so that it cleanses and nourishes the entire body. Two of my favorite for the job are Dandelion root, and Burdock root (see my previous post). 

For this particular post I have made a video where I share 3 ways I take care of my skin externally with natural means, and the natural- when you go natural, has an emotionally healing and spiritually healing component. 
The first is a sugar scrub with lavender infused olive oil. I make this oil- and it is found in my ETSY store (you can see the link to my store in the footer at the bottom of this page). You can also make your own very easily and I have a video on that. The sugar scrub is gentle and nourishing and the lavender oil is very healing emotionally. It is a wonderful at home treatment. Then I demonstrate how I do a clay mask with clay from our property. How to Make Dandelion and Burdock Root Tea for Clear Skin; Beautiful skin Naturally w/ Herbs

I literally enjoy better looking skin now in my early 40's than I did as a teenager. Maybe that is not so novel, the teenage years can be very difficult for naturally beautiful skin. I knew nothing about herbal remedies, and taking care of my body naturally through my teens, but thankfully I know now for my own children. I know I can help save them a lot of agony. 

Skin eruptions can be downright terrible, and embarrassing and can literally leave a person scarred for life. Like every thing in this world, there is an answer, and a solution to literally every single problem. Typically we look to fix the outside every time there is a problem. I repeatedly hear even celebrities' talking about this or that skin care for beautiful skin. I am not opposed to proper cleansing and caring for the skin, but it really does not cost hundreds or thousands of dollars on topical products for beautiful skin.

It is work though. It is dedication. It is some difficult, and maybe even very hard decision to make lasting and permanent change for your inner beauty to see that change in the outer body. Most of us though do not want to do the hard work. We want a pill, a magic bullet, or are even willing to spend thousands of dollars on beauty procedures and treatments, rather than look inside. Oh if more people were willing to look at their insides. We would have a much different world. 

The remedy I am suggesting for clearer skin, and I say clearer because this is part of a lifestyle and a way of living. For some people drinking dandelion and burdock root tea will be enough. However, for others, you may need to make more changes, including dietary to see excellent results, but the results are very possible for each person who is willing to do them. 

Dandelions are fabulous, friendly plants. Their proximity to our living environments tells us so much about this plant, as well as its abundance. It is like the dandelion is begging to be picked. How terrible that so many people kill their dandelions, when this plant (all parts included) could be their bodies best friend. All parts of a dandelion are edible (as long as they are grown in healthy soil). The leaves make an excellent salad, and the roots are fabulous for cleansing the liver, toning and flushing stored emotions that are held in the liver. 

Burdock too is another one of the plants that grows in abundance, but not so close. I find burdock closer to the edge of things or a field. They are bigger, much bigger than dandelions and can be a great friend to help rebuild a body. The leaves can be eaten (young are better), and the root is a vegetable in many cultures. I use the dried root, mixed with dried dandelion root because both are liver friendly herbs that through their joint abilities will cleanse and nourish and create  healthier, lovelier skin.

Living a Life of Authenticity; Wholistic Mind Body Spirit

Herbs are a funny business. There is no hiding behind the natural. The natural exposes things for what they are. Maybe that is why more people reject natural healing, than embrace it. Most people want to hide behind the metaphorical and sometimes physical mask they have created. To be exposed and to be seen as we are is very scary, but it is the only true way to being free and naturally healed as a soul.

We are not here to perfect our physical bodies. I am not opposed, at all, to taking care of oneself, but the obsession with perfecting something that perishes, is a foolish exercise. I hope that word is not too harsh. Foolishness is defined as "a lack of good sense or judgement." It is a lack of good sense to worry about and try to change our outsides, while ignoring a swirling storm on the inside. Do you know that the more you work on your inner character, your spirit self, that the more beautiful your outsides will be?

I want to jump for joy at how free I feel in my own skin. My skin has not been cut and pasted, and shaped and puffed up. Freedom is embracing yourself and feeling so good as you are. This peace comes from a deep well of acceptance of all of me, that includes all of my mistakes and all of my errors, my history and life. 

I love love love to see a confident older woman embracing their gray hair, wrinkles and smiling or laughing,  exuding confidence. May we all desire to give our best selves for the younger generation. I know for me, I grieve at the whisperings I hear to turn us into some sort of partial technological being with science. A combo person does not sound natural, but many people have already agreed to this. They have agreed by deciding that who they are is not enough. Oh my heart goes out to the world. 

In my video below I talk about how you can't hide behind herbs. Herbal or Natural walks are ones designed to be authentic. You have no choice but to be authentic. Our whole premise is the root, the wholistic being, what is mind, body and spirit. Truly we are Spirit- in temporary physical bodies. We are here to transcend limitations, and I believe give to others from the well-spring of our deep acceptance of who we were created to be.

Natural Hair Care with Sulfate Free Shampoo and Rosemary

I am currently in the process of writing a book about Herbal and Natural remedies. Since I am already writing thousands of words a day, my blog posts are going to be a bit short for a time. I will be posting my recent videos as my post, and hope you enjoy them. 

I made a video today on how to take care of your hair naturally. This may be old news to some of you, but hopefully it is new news for some. When I learned about going more natural, and cutting out the harsh chemicals on my scalp, it was certainly new news for me. I thought that if something was packaged in a pretty bottle than it was good, right? 

Fortunately I had no choice but to seek some kind of alternative way for caring for my hair and scalp because I was experiencing dry, flaky, irritated skin. In fact some spots were down right itchy. I thought it was my diet, and worked on my diet with great care, but I have found that even with a perfect diet, chemicals being habitually rubbed onto the skin is bound to build up and cause some kind of irritation. 

So I cut out the sulfate shampoo, went through a period of cleansing my hair and scalp where my hair looked horrible. I stopped dying my hair with chemicals. I stopped using chemical products on my hair, and went au natural. I am really happy with that choice! Why? Same reason I continue to eat differently than most of the population- it makes me feel really good. I'd rather feel good, than "look good." No that's not right. I'd rather feel good long term than satisfy some short term gain.

Decide to Make 2021 The Best Year Ever!

My husband and I decide each year to make the next year, the best year of our lives. To be honest, even though I had personal loss, even the loss of a beloved family member, not to mention the trials of 2020, it really was our best year in our entire marriage. 

It was my best health year- even though I shed many tears over the loss of my dad. It was our best earning year, even though there were many reasons and shutdowns everywhere. It was a year of transformation, but more than that it was a year of pinpointing. I felt that I became laser focused last year. I was able to see what I really wanted from myself, my family and my life. I felt like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. 

I am deciding though, that 2021 is going to be my best year. I am going to rock it with my finances. I am going to rock it with my marriage, and other relationships. My health is going to be amazing. It is going to be a year of growth and accomplishment, and I am saying this- despite what is happening around me and beyond my control.

To most of us, these statements sound crazy. You may even be thinking, "she is crazy." 'How can she say that?  Or maybe if this happens, then yes, or if that does not happen, or if things go back to normal- I can see that happening.' Part of me wants to lean into those safety statements, but I also know that the world is created by imagination. My imagination and your imagination is very powerful. It is a creative force, and if I am going to create something with my mind, I am going to create something amazing, and not something to be feared. 

You know you might say, "if I don't hope, then I won't be disappointed." You may be right. There is bound to be some disappointment. There always is, but I am going to hope, and imagine and shoot for the stars, and I will settle for landing on the moon, rather than step out trepidatiously, afraid to be disappointed. 

How am I starting 2021? First of all, I have decided to go off of social media. I am bucking the trend. You will not find me on Facebook, or Instagram, or Twitter, or whatever is the hot media channel. This may be a risky thing for someone is business, but I am dedicated to being a healer. As a healer, I need to be in a state of healing, and flow, and good energy. Social media has become such an emotional roller coaster or exaggerated emotions and feelings. I know that there is good, there is. As a healer, I want to keep my space free. I see it like I keep my home free of clutter, I need to keep my mind free of clutter too.

What else am I doing? Today, Jan. 1st I am doing a juice fast. I decided to start the year with juice, and healing. When you pause from heavy eating, your body has time to cleanse, heal and repair. My fast will last only a day or two, but it will give my mind time to clarify. Besides the benefits of fasting, and juicing, which I will not go into here, fasting from food groups can be spiritual enlightening. (If you want to learn more about fasting/ juicing one of my favorite books on the subject is Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Avery). For that matter fasting from all kinds of things is enlightening; you will see how much you turn to X, Y, Z thing for comfort and when you are attempting to remove that "thing" you will find some emotions rising to the surface.

This is ok, and in fact can be very healing.

 I started this post early today, and now it is almost time for bed. I found myself looking to eat numerous times today, and instead had to redirect my thinking. I focused on breathing and relaxing. These two activities are exceptionally healing and will help you to reach your goals much more than frenetic activity. I also found that I had a number of emotions creep up which I will take to prayer. In my 2 decade long journey as an herbalist, I have found a slight or more than slight discomfort just before a time of revelation. I look forward to more revelation and a deeper spiritual connection.

I will leave you by saying. Life is a choice. We have choices, although it feels like we do not at times. If you are use to being a "victim" of life, you will really balk at this statement. I know because I played the victim role for many years. I know that a God who created us with free will, also gives us that free will to decide what kind of life we will live. He, or Spirit of Divine Creator- works ALL things to the GOOD for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. 

Faith- faith is what I am exercising. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Faith is the seed, the moment of conception, where you conceive our dream in its invisible state. It is a matter of holding that faith until the dream or goal or belief has time to grow and manifest to the visible. Start this year with a renewed belief and faith that you are here for a darn good reason and have a real purpose for your life. Make this your best year ever!

How to Make Ginger Tea with Fresh Ginger Roots

I hope you were able to enjoy the holiday. It was definitely different for us this year. Very quiet. I am using these quiet times for the good. 

I recently posted that I was going off Facebook and Instagram. I actually never got into Social Media when it first started, but have spent the past 4 years using it for connection and building my business. In these times though, I feel that the invasion of privacy is more than I want to accept. 
My energy feel scrambled by it all, and as a healer, I feel I need to be in a healing flow if I am to help others.

I have been making herbal remedies for people for 9 years plus- actually it is more like 12 years in total. I started Sheep Hill Herbs 9 years ago, but I was making capsules, and tinctures 3 years before that. I always thought of labeling my herbals and I only just did it!

FOR THIS POST I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT GINGER 🍃🍃

Who doesn't know this herb? It is very common and even accepted by the medical profession as an "acceptable" herb for nausea. Ginger is so much more though. Zingiber officinalis aka "The Hot Root" 
and if you even ate a piece raw, you will find- it is hot!

When you drink ginger tea, and I mean real ginger tea, made from fresh roots, it warms your whole body (head to toe). In the warmer months, I love to add ginger to my food as a spice, but in the winter and cold months, I relish how drinks with ginger that renew my body and actually circulate my circulation. 

Ginger tea is a fine tea if you have chills, or are just chilly from a brisk walk outside. If you just can't seem to warm up your hands and feet, a hot cup may just be the trick. 🌿

Ginger is also a HEART loving herb. ❤🧡🧡
It stabilizes the blood, may help to balance cholesterol, and can strengthen the heart. THE KEY🔆 to any good herbal remedy is knowing how to take the herb. If you think you can sprinkle some dried ginger (bought from the grocery store) on your food, and have these effects and benefits, I am sorry to say- you will not. There may be a little good, but you won't have the WOW- amazing herbal experience that comes from fresh good quality herbs, or great quality dried herbs. 

Ginger can also be useful for unchecked weight problems. It stimulates saliva which then activates enzymes needed to break down proteins and fats. It also increases metabolic heat to burn calories.

All Things Work Together for the Good Romans 8:28

I love this verse. 💜

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Many times in my life, I rested on this verse, on this promise. When decisions "feel" beyond my control. When I momentarily find myself agreeing to something I would rather not, I remind myself of this. I have seen this promise, fulfilled over and over. It does not mean I won't feel some pain, loss, or sadness, but I have seen many a situation turn around for the good, or a better than I expected by believing in this verse.
